The challenges of social exclusion
The challenges of social exclusion
Statistics and studies on poverty show a worrying finding:
- more than half of the world's population does not have access to basic health services
- one in three young people is on the margins of society.
In a constantly changing world, the socio-economic transitions underway are more often suffered than chosen and create strong problems of social exclusion. This social disqualification is particularly glaring on the African continent. Difficulties or even lack of access to health, education or employment opportunities are the main causes of the exclusion of the most vulnerable populations.
The Saham Foundation has seized the urgency to act in favor of these neglected populations. Through its proximity and its knowledge of the populations in Morocco and in sub-Saharan Africa, the Saham Foundation is able to detect the social needs in these territories and ensure to provide innovative, effective and sustainable responses.

Two major areas of intervention
Two major areas of intervention
The Saham Foundation has given priority to two key sectors as part of its action in order to respond to priority needs and challenges on the African continent:
- Acting for health and access to healthcare in Morocco and sub-Saharan Africa
- Act for the social inclusion of young people
