YOUTH SOCIAL INCLUSION: A SOCIETY CHALLENGE
Work for the employability and integration of young people
In Morocco, nearly a third of young people are not in education, employment or training. These young people called NEET * pose a major socio-economic challenge for our country.
- More than one in three young people will be without formal activity in 2025 despite the increase in higher education enrollments;
- The high levels of unemployment and precarious employment have contributed to their poverty and social exclusion, but also to the emergence of specific health problems;
- Philanthropic actors can help create new entrepreneurial or employment opportunities for some of these young people.
*NEET : is an acronym for young people who are neither in employment, nor at school, nor in vocational training (Not in Employment, Education or Training).
This indicator is used to better understand the situation of young people in their societies. As part of its "Acting for Equal Opportunities" program, the Saham Foundation marks its strong commitment to reintegrate these NEETs into society in Morocco and support them to offer them a better future.
