L’E-HEALTH

What is E-health?

Today, technologies strongly influence the field of health. They have an impact not only on medical research but also on the relationship between patients and health professionals. Thus, telemedicine is presented as another form of remote medical practice which makes it possible to connect a patient and his doctor thanks to new technologies. Telemedicine is thus an interesting alternative to promote access to care for underprivileged populations located in isolated areas.

Telemedicine, part of the response to improve health in Africa

As part of its Agir pour la santé au Maroc et en Afrique program, the Saham Foundation has grasped the importance that telemedicine can play in remote areas of African countries. Without replacing traditional medical practices, the advantages of telemedicine are numerous in isolated regions: it can compensate for the shortage of medical personnel, promote the training of health personnel in e-learning, help improve existing remote infrastructures. ...

Telemedicine conferences

Telemedicine aims to provide access to care for patients who cannot, due to their geographical location, access a doctor because they are located in an area of medical desertification. In order to raise awareness of the challenges and advantages of e-health, the Saham Foundation organizes conferences on telemedicine. Through these events, she hopes to help spread this practice in certain regions of Morocco and in sub-Saharan African countries. In addition, telemedicine is presented as a complementary tool to the Foundation's program "Agir pour la santé" since it can help strengthen the impact of medical caravans.
